In 2012 he curated John Cage’s exhibition Museum Circle at the Museo de Historia, Antropología y Arte Universidad de Puerto Rico (MHAA). His book of interviews, Cathy Berberian: Entrevistas, was published by Riel Editorial in 2019. Rivera is a retired professor from the University of Puerto Rico and lives in San Juan.
